May 26, 2002 Ouachita National Forest Hiking -![]() Little Blakely Trail System
Juan getting the gear ready for action.
Bridge at the entrance to the Trail.
This fallen tree was at the end of a very log downhill section in which we where flying trough.
Fortunately it was well rewarded when it came to going downhill . Some downhill sections where so steep and long, my Grimecca Disc Brakes where burning and still I was going down fast.
Not only we where breathless because of the riding, but the view from up here was incredible.
Millie was there every step of the way.
In fact she stepped about 50 % of the trail.
Payback Time !
Some times the trail get very tight, on one side there is the trail and on the other a huge drop that ends up in the lake.
So you better be careful, if in doubt walk it down.
On one of this downhill sections , just when I was enjoying my ride, I found a huge rock crossing in front of me, the result I took a short lived flight and ended crashing myself in the floor, got several bruises and suffered all the way from there to the car, I sounded like a dog hit by a car !. But that's just part of the deal , it's all in the package. We hope to visit this and other great parks and trails in Arkansas - The Natural State. |
